As I write this post it’s hard to believe it’s already the month of April. Before I know it, Memorial Day will be here and then July 4th will arrive. I would really like to have some patriotic projects done to decorate and celebrate these upcoming events. I’m sure many of my readers would like to get a head start as well and I’ve looked through several of my favorite sites to find 7 free PDF patterns that will make great patriotic quilt and sewing projects for your home.
Missouri Star Quilt Company always has nice patterns and even youtube tutorials. Stars and Stripes Quilt has both and the PDF is a free download.
I like to decorate my home with seasonal wall hanging quilts. My next find is from All People Quilt website. This one is called Fireworks. The designer is Monique Dillard of Open Gate Quilts. This pattern also lends itself well to the AccuQuilt system to speed up the cutting of pieces for your project.
How about this mini quilt Scrap Strips and Stars designed and written by Lisa Sutherland. She even has two versions, one horizontal and one vertical.
Riley Blake Fabrics has a beautiful quilt pattern from Carrie Quinn called Liberty. It offers piecing as well as appliqué for a beautiful quilt project.
This star quilt pattern is great for any season and is a wonderful one to have in your collection. The No Point Stars Quilt Pattern shows Christmas colors but Cluck Cluck Sew, 2011-2017 Allison R. Harrisr shows it in patriotic fabrics too.
Flag of Valor Quilt Pattern by Minick and Simpson features fabrics from the Moda Fabric Company and is a free download over at The Fat Quarter Shop.
Last but not least, the GO! Antique Americana Throw Quilt from Accuquilt. You will need to create an account to download this pattern but the pattern is a free download. It will also tell you the dies needed to cut your pieces and yardages.
